I want to shout-"Not even close!", as my passion tends to get the best of me at times.
Or..
I begin to rattle off numbers in comparison, such as a packet of tomato seeds costs me around $2, with a minimum of 25 seeds. If only 12 of them germinate, and produce roughly 10 pounds of tomatoes EACH, you've just acquired 120 pounds of tomatoes for $2!
Either way, my gardening passion (and my passion for living a frugal lifestyle) comes out and I've either completely scared the person off, convinced them that I'm insane, or my words have piqued their interest. Hopefully it's the latter!
